This is my favorite out of the ones you posted. It reminds me of childrens book I once had because the whole book was made by silhouettes.

I don't remember. I know it was really old. In the book some kid had a sore stomach so he was taken to the doctor and the doctor started pulling out all sorts of crazy things from the kids stomach. It was all done with silhouettes and was really cool.

I think this piece is fine the way it is; I worry that adding a bird in the cage would just be too much, and the design is so classic that I almost feel the presence of a bird even though one is not pictured.

What drew me to this picture first were the shades of green-lime to jade-the greens you use seem very vintage to me, and their combination with the white of the cage reminds me of wallpapers and fabrics from the 1950's and 1960's...it gives me a feeling of comfort, home and nostalgia, which is fascinating as cages tend to be representative of negative emotions in artwork, it's nice to get a different sort of feeling from the subject.
