I wouldn't feel too sorry for the girl, I'd feel more sorry for her friends and family that are a few miles away that will have to suffer from the radiation for generations.
This is My final for my Studio Art Class, the prompt was to design a skateboard. I had an anti-war theme going on, but i wasn't sure what I wanted to do exactly. Then, in my history class, we had a debate on wether or not it was ethical to have dropped the bomb on Hiroshima. That got my brain gears turning, and I came up with this. The lyrics on the mushroom cloud are from System of a Down's song: Boom! Modern globalization, coupled with condemnations. Unnecessary Death. Matador corporations, puppeting your frustrations with a blinded flag. Manufacturing consent is the name of the game. The bottom line is money, nobody gives a fuck. Four thousand hungry children leave us per hour from starvation, while millions are spent on bombs, creating death showers! BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM This is dedicated to my awesome history teacher, Mr. Barnes. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
